Our impact investment strategy aims to generate commercial returns for investors while maximising positive and measurable social and environmental impact.
We will invest in ambitious, growing businesses with impact, making available multiple financial instruments, including equity, debt or hybrids. In addition to investment capital, the fund will make available technical assistance support and non-dilutive grants to help these businesses strengthen and scale their impact, operations and revenue.
Our fund’s impact management approach is based on Alfanar Venture Philanthropy’s track record. Entrepreneurs would benefit from impact management support to measurably help them strengthen their impact, operations and revenue.
We provide financing in the form of equity, debt or hybrids to growth stage businesses with impact that meet our selection criteria and pass our due diligence and ESG Assessment. Our ticket sizes range from USD 500,000 to USD 5m.
We provide customised technical assistance to fuel the growth of our Portfolio Companies, enabling them to meet business plan targets and address weaknesses identified during due diligence.
We support our Portfolio Companies in clarifying their Theory of Change and building their impact management frameworks to ensure more precise measurement, evaluation and scaling of their impact. We also support them in communicating about their impact.
We are sector agnostic and invest across MENA in ambitious growth stage businesses with impact that have the ambition and ability to scale beyond their country of origin.
